The 1st annual Bedford County Jamboree was held Friday night as the Shelbyville Golden Eagles hosted Page High School. The first two quarters of the game saw both teams' freshman squads in action. The Eagle freshman held their own with a 6-0 win over the Patriots.

Shelbyvile got first possession of the ball and went to their ground game early. The freshmen ran the ball 13 times for 62 yards in just the first quarter yet finished with no points on the board.

On the first play of the 2nd quarter, Marquis Morton carried the ball 2 yards for a touchdown and the game's only score. Quarterback Holt Parsons' pass was incomplete to Ronald Singleton for the two-pont conversion.

Shelbyville ran the ball 19 times for 47 yards in two quarters of play. Marquis Morton led all rushers with 52 yards on 10 carries including a touchdown. TJ Brown carried the ball 12 yards on 4 rushes while teammate Ryan Carden had 2 rushes for -5 yards. quarterback Holt Parsons rushed 2 times for -8 yards and Marquis Lyons rushed once for -4 yards.

In the air, quarterback Holt Parsons was 1 of 3 for 3 yards while Ryan Carden was 0 of 1 for no yards. TJ Brown was the lone receiver with 3 yards on one reception.

The Eagles were penalized 5 times for 30 yards. In additon quarterack Holt Parsons was sacked once and a fumbled snap was recovered by Page.

Defensively, Shelbyville's Kenny Parsons had two fumble recoveries and was responsible for a quarterback hurry that led to an interception by teammate Marquis Lyons.
